Newsletters and keeping in touch = more business.
As a small business owner, one understands the importance of communication with past customers and current customers, alike. We need to keep in touch because referrals are big! Oscar Design Studio has never had to necessarily “advertise”…we’ve just been referred to people and it’s paved a path of success for us and our clients.
E-newsletters allow companies to keep in touch with everyone, without really having to write individual emails! Plus, giving advice and updated news about your company to your customers, helps you AND helps them! Our latest recommendation: MailChimp.com. It’s user-friendly and if you have under a certain number of recipients, it’s FREE! We LIKE!
I know we are all bombarded with e-blasts but in reality, most people do skim them and they also save trees…so, why not?
How often should you send an e-newsletter? Great question! It really depends. A store, let’s say, might want to send a newsletter every 2 weeks announcing their latest sales/samples/show pieces/updates/products, etc. If you are a software company, why not send one once a month? You can update your customers on updated software tweaks, on your improvements to your product, on what other customers are saying, maybe even on who’s been hired to help them? Maintaining a relationship is key. And for those restaurants: Easy! Send out updates on your specials, on new items to the menu! (Yum.)
Keeping in touch is important. It’s all about customer service and relationships…something that larger companies are often lacking.
